One of my greatest pleasures as a psychologist has been witnessing the shift in attitude towards mental health. Where consulting a therapist was once considered something to be ashamed of, it is now applauded as a positive step towards regaining and maintaining a healthy balance in your life. People today are more pressurised than ever – at work and at home – and this is resulting in an increased number of lifestyle-related issues which need some form of professional help in order to be successfully addressed.
